Family Night....this is the kind I LOVE!

That cloud looked like a mushroom cloud...weird!

Ok - anytime we spend time as a family, doing anything - I LOVE it! We went up to the dam Monday evening with neighbor's. This has been something we try to do, at least once during the summer. There is about 6 families who go and we take a few boats so there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves. Brad is working nights -STILL - until we leave on our vacation....so I just went and pulled the boat with the girls (Stockton is still gone) ALL BY MYSELF. I KNOW - I am brave! I can either stay home or go - I choose GO everytime! The Adams' couldn't go....due to this and that and blah, blah, blah! We drive to the lake and the boat won't start...seriously? Oh well, next - we move on to the Garrett's boat and had a BLAST. We ate treats, swam, tubed, wakeboarded and laughed. I am sure we had a spiritual message in there somewhere. We always have the best time with our fun neighbors...

Heritage Days

Heritage days parade...I think I have come to this parade for the past 20 years, that is how long I have lived here! Wow time flies...but this year in the parade there was a FLOAT! It was made by my mom's stake! It was so awesome. The girls and I went (Brad was asleep and Stockton was in Fleming Gorge) with the Adams' and met the Jardine's and Call's. We had a great spot in the shade - thanks to Tonia! The Adams' girls were not in the parade this year...first time in 10 years - I think, BUT Brock was in it...he was with his football team and I didn't see him in time to get my camera out, he was on the very back and I thought he wasn't there?!? TRADITIONS - we love them!

What is Summer without the Roy Pool?

We used to go to the Roy Pool at least 1-2 per week, last summer we probably went once, and at least this summer we can say we went! With the kids getting older, they are more busy and we don't have time or don't take the time to go to the pool (its hard to fit thing in when you only have 2 weeks of summer-dang year round school). Friday's are early out, so the girls got home from school at 1:15 and the phone started to ring and Sara's friend invited her to go with her family to the pool, so she was excited to go. Grace walked in and Sara was in her suit and wanted to know where she was going - to see the look on her face :/ So I told her I would take her and Brinley too. We got there a little later in the afternoon, but it was finally hot and felt like summer to be at the pool. We saw grandma Alaina and the Gunnarson kids. We had a great day...since the boys (Brad-work and Stockton-Fleming Gorge) were going to be gone for the night we had a late night party with all the girls and their friends!!

A great day together....

Since Hawaii, Brad has probably only had 10 days off of work. He has been in charge of a huge project at work and he has worked every weekend too :( FINALLY he took a day off and we decided to let the girls miss school and do something together. The night before we went to the drive-in, we used to go a lot but we haven't been for a couple of years. Stockton took a bunch of friends, and we took our truck (with the awesome carpet kit) and we all had some where to sit....WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! I hope we do that again soon. Then the next day, we went to Park City and we rode the Alpine slide and the coaster. Its so much fun to go with the kids, now they are older and can go alone. On the coaster, the first corner was so fast and Grace wasn't expecting that, she peed her pants - I wonder whose daughter so is? It was funny - we stopped and bought some new shorts for her :) Stockton was so nice he thought he would let Grace go first on the slide, but he soon realized had he gone first - he could have gone much faster! He was a good sport and carried the sleds without being asked! I am so glad they still love to hang out with their parents on occausion anyway! My camera batteries died or I would have had lots more pictures.

I can JuMp on a TrAmPoLiNe AGAIN

I haven't been able to jump on the tramp with my girls....EVER because, I pee my pants but now after surgery....I am good to go. I got on the tramp and Sara loved it, she took some pictures (well she was trying to take pictures). She was trying to tell me to do flips and tricks, but I am NOT that good yet. So I am going to work on my skills and I can re-post my progress. I am going to win the next bum war....its on girls!!

Pies Anyone?

My friend Theresa works for Rocky Mountain Pie Company and we (KyAnn, Pleshette and I) went on a tour of the pie plant. It was so cool, I want to take my kids to see how they make them....they are made by hand?!? Theresa and I went thru elementary school, jr high and high school together, we didn't really hang out - AND I DON'T KNOW WHY? She is so fun and she has the best laugh. She loves her family and she is one of the kindest people I know. She is a good friend to all. And she is so important she has her own parking stall! I love her and I am so glad to call her my friend.

WOW time flies by....

Thayne, Hannah, Lyndsie, Stockton, Sydnie, Charlie, Chelsea, Brinley, Haley, Lindsay
Sara, Morgan, Landon, Sam, Grace

These two girls were best friends!
We have lived in our house for 12 1/2 years. We have the best neighbors and neighborhood. We were the last of our group to move in and the kids in the neighborhood have loved growing up together. A few years ago we lost one of group...The Ence family moved to Fruit Heights. But we have kept in touch with them. We see them a soccer tournaments, we gone to dinners and movies with them. A few years ago, they remodeled their home and Brad did some rock work for them. So over the years we have stayed in contact with them and Thayne, their oldest and only son, was called on a mission to Brazil. So we went to the farewell. It was great to see how he has grown and matured. It seems like just yesterday Brad was telling (yelling) him to stop teasing Stockton (he is a papa bear sometimes). I have a picture of us all up camping with all of the kids, and I made all of the Pratt's, Ence's, Adams' and Larsen kids get in a current picture, we were missing the Lake family though :( Fond memories of GREAT family!
