This is his actual card...this is going to be in the yearbook? Seriously, I laughed so hard. He borrowed a kids glasses and he said he couldn't even see the cameraman. When he said to look up, he had to look toward his voice...this is an awesome picture!
We were excited for the last summer get-away. A few years ago we went with the Garrett's to Swiss Days in Heber and then Miner's Days in Park City. These are annual events each Labor Day weekend. This year we rented a house on Main street in Park City with the Garrett's and the Jardine's. We had a fabulous time. We went to Swiss Days on Saturday...it is something you want to go to and then you get there and you think...yep, its the same stuff and you leave. But every few years YOU MUST go?!? Then we made our way back to the house and got food, treats, we played games and watched movies. The house we rented was HUGE. We had plenty of rooms even for the kids, but they loved to sleep on the floor as if it was a big slumber party. Then Sunday we went to the Wasatch campground where Angie's parents were staying and we had a bbq. We - me, Brad, Mike and Paul along with the little kids went Geocaching...if you don't know what that is...go to Geocaching.com and they are all over the world. You need a GPS and you type in the area you are in and go to the coordinates and then you search for a box and you take something out but you also have to leave something in it...its a treasure hunt. The first one we went to was in the camp ground and the picture of Mike trying to figure out how to use the GPS and read it??? DUH! We laughed at him most of the time. Then the second one we went on just Brad, Paul and I went with Grace, Madison, Kasen and Sara. It was looonnnnggg. We hiked and hiked but it was fun, EXCEPT I told my girls to pack tennis shoes and they took Vans? So by the time we got to the treasure, Grace had blisters? Even when they knew exactly what we were going to do?? DUH! We went about 6 miles and it was a good time. Sunday night, more games and treats. Monday we went to the Park City parade and then Stockton and Ryker had football practice so Brad and I left early and the girls stayed with everyone else. It was fun to get a way and go with great friends!
