SNOWBOARDING BEGINS

For Stockton's birthday he got a pass to the Canyons. So he finally got to go and use it for the first time this season. He was so excited, all the way up the mountain the three boys, Stockton, Brock and Ryker...kept saying they were so excited and they were alittle nervous. They didn't know if they could remember how.. They are funny dudes. I hope these guys can gets lots use out of their passes. They have been skiing/snowboarding since they were 5. They are picky about who they go with too because if they don't ski good enough then they aren't invited.

2008 Christmas Dance Recital

Well we survived another dance recital, ugh. Ok, they are very, VERY long. So many girls that you don't know but then when your own girls come out...well it so WORTH it. For the 6 minutes out of the 3 hours, they did so good. This year I was extremely lucky, both girls are on the same team and they are together. It makes it so nice. This is Grace's second year on this team, so she is front and center and does such a GREAT job, and Sara is the youngest and littlest, but she keeps right up and does so GREAT too! I was a dancer, so it brings me much joy to see them do so good and love it SO MUCH.

Christmas Cards 2008

Matching PJ's for Christmas!!

The girls are just about big enough that we can all get the same pajamas and match at Christmas. So the three of us went to the mall and went to every store and picked out PJ's. We had a lot of fun. We are going to wear them for the whole Christmas season, so when we have our pictures taken on Christmas morning you will see us matching, sooooo cute. We do need to alter the length on the girls, but that's fine.

Stockton's Birthday

Stockton turned 14 today!! I can't believe that 14 years ago, I had my very first baby and became a mom :) I was so young and naive. I loved him at first sight. He was born in the middle of the night (3 AM), I was so tired, I got started at 1 PM, but he was healthy and oh man his head was banged up so he was a little swollen, but PERFECT.

So for his birthday I will tell 14 things about him.

1. He is a kind person.

2. He loves the color RED, I think because he LOVES the U of U.

3. He tries to do whats right. CTR (the moral compass for the family, that's what I call him.)

4. He works hard at school (he gets fabulous grades).

5. He loves, LOVES sports. (basketball, soccer and football)

6. He loves cold cereal.

7. He is a germ-a-phobe.

8. He likes to come home after school, then go hang out. Never goes strait to anyone's house.

9. He is good at math and science.

10. He is not a good speller.

11. He is talented on the piano. (Don't tell anyone, he is embarrassed.)

12. He still has his plastic football toy box in his room.

13. He likes it when his sister's bedtime is 8:30, because he will lay by me and talk.

14. HE IS A GREAT KID!!!

He got his snowboard pass, snowboard clothes, and jeans (his are all getting too short) and a shirt from his mom and dad. It makes me happy to see the young man he is becoming. He is doing good in school, young men's (scouting), friends, and he just is making good choices in his life. I am sad to have a teenager because THEY ARE HARD!! Being the oldest, he is the experiment for us (parents), so we mess up too. I am glad he is patient with us too. Hopefully we can all get through these next few years. Stockton, we love you!

Last Basketball Game :(

Today was the last basketball game for the season. They lost in the playoffs, on his birthday (what a bummer). Stockton won't wear that jersey again because he is going to a new jr. high next year. It was a great season for the boys, they did fabulous. Here is Stockton and some of his teammates, Josh, Jayden, Daniel and Brock. GO SEAHAWKS!!

Birthday Party

Tonight we celebrated with the Larsen family. My mom and Scott were supposed to come but my mom was admitted into the hospital, which was scary (she is fine now.) We celebrated with my family on Sunday, so the Larsen's came for dinner. We need to feed Jack, he needs a good meal as often as possible. We had BBQ ribs with the works, it was great. Those Boys are soooo handsome.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...............

We love to decorate the house for Christmas. We moved to a street that has a tradition of decorating all together. Everyone (well, they used to) put out milk jugs with lights in them and when it snows it looks so great. Then we love to put up our trees early so we can enjoy them for the whole month. I have taken the trees down on Christmas night because by that time I need to get the house back to normal. We love Christmas time!

Thanksgiving - Much to be grateful for....

Thanksgiving is the best holiday. It kicks off the time of the year to reflect on the past year and be grateful for everything that has happened. It welcomes in the Christmas season and when we really think about the true meaning of Christmas. The things I am most grateful for are: MY FAMILY, not only my great husband and kids but our parents and brothers and their families. MY FRIENDS, I have the best friends, I love to go to lunch, shop, bowl with, go to movies, have parties with and even go on vacations with. MY HOME, I love to be home. I love it when everyone is home and the kids have their friends over and its full of noise, but I also love it when everyone is gone to school and work and I quietly reflect about the beautiful home I have. I feel peace when I am home, it is my favorite place to be. I often get made fun of because I love my bed too. MY TESTIMONY, I love to go to church and the temple with Brad and my ward family, I love to learn about the gospel, I love scripture study and family prayer. I love to learn about Christ and I want to be like him and serve and help others. MY HUSBANDS JOB, I don't love the actual job but I am grateful he has a job. There was a time in our marriage when he was self-employed and jobs were tough to come by but he has a great job with a great company and even when he is working nights, weekends, and even most holidays I am grateful for his job. I have many other things that will be told at other times.

Twilight November 20-21, 2008

At the last minute someone cancelled, so Tonia call me to see if I wanted to go to the midnight premiere of the movie Twilight, so I went. I am too old for midnight movies, but it was fun to go with friends,

Grace's Birthday!!

Grace turned 10 this year. I can hardly believe its been that long ago since she was born. When I think of the day she was born, it makes my heart sing. She was the first girl into our family. Her delivery was the best and she was a perfect baby. She brought love and excitement to our family.

1. She is SMART.

2. She has fun, no matter where she is....

3. She doesn't HAVE to be with friends all the time, I think because she has Sara.

4. Little kids love her and flock to her.

5. She loves to watch TV.

6. Her favorite color is BLUE.

7. She loves to try new things, at least once.

8. She is getting so good at the piano.

9. She is a fabulous dancer and tumbler.

10. She loves to make others HAPPY.

But this year for her birthday, she had friends over and we did pedicures, watched a movie, had pizza and played games. It was fun to be with her and some of her friends for a late night.
